The B-Line Trail is a multi-use trail that extends a total of 4.9 km from the west of town, through downtown, to the southern end of town. Walk, run, or bike the trail to see Bloomington from a new point of view and get some exercise along the way.

You can experience the history, artistry, industry, and architecture of Indiana limestone by walking the Indiana Limestone Heritage Trail. The trail features a number of quarry holes, abandoned mills, art sculptures, and amazing buildings.
Griffy Lake is a beautiful nature preserve located about 6 km from downtown Bloomington. The area offers great hiking trails that twist and turn around the lake with a trail for any level of hiker. In warmer months' rent a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard, and explore the lake at your own pace.
Located just 32km from IU,Brown County State ParkisIndiana’s largest park with nearly 32 km of paths and many scenic vistas overlooking this huge forestland. This is a traditional fall season hot spot for studentsand a must see while studying here in Bloomington.
